Sue Barfield Obituary
Sue G. Barfield, 75, of Albany, GA passed away, Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Ideal City Cemetery, Ideal, GA at 3:00 p.m.
Sue was born in Montezuma, GA and was a graduate of Macon County High School. She was employed with Mitchell EMC at their Albany, GA office and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan D. (Doc) Greene, Sr. and Hazel Hardage Greene, brothers, Morgan D. (Brother) Greene, Jr., Marlowe Greene, sisters, Mary Jane Kanazawa and Sally Clark.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Barfield, Albany, GA, son, Rusty Taunton (Tina), Albany, GA, sister, Martha Ellen Tienken (Ray), Reynolds, GA and grandchildren, Savannah Taunton and Ashton Donahue.
The family will receive friends Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
