Jose Leonardo Garza, 87, entered eternal rest, March 22, 2026, in Asherton, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Garza was born in Charlotte, Texas on March 1, 1939, to Trinidad Muniz and Francisco Garza. Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Jesus Garza, Donato Garza, Francisca "Kika" Padilla, Lucia Vega, Gomecindo Garza, Pedro Garza, Petra G Espinosa, and Luisa Nombrano.

Jose Leonardo is survived by loving wife, Ramona Garza, children, Dina Duarte and husband, Gilbert, Mando De Luna, Leonardo Garza Jr., Abel Garza, Joey Garza, sisters, Cruz Chapa, Juanita Garcia, along with 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The Garza family will honor their loved one on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home at 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a chapel service beginning at 10:00 am.
