It is with great sorrow that we announce, Jose Alves Geraldo, age 58, a resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at the Lowell General Hospital on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Capitão Andrade, Brazil on November 6, 1965 and was the son of the late Jose and Nair Alves de Jesus and brother of four brothers and four sisters; João, Rondineli, Elias, Geraldo, Vanilda, Selma, Aparecida, and Maria.
He was the beloved husband of Beth Grace Soparkar of almost 40 years. In addition to his loving wife, Jose is survived by his daughter Maritza Geraldo, step-daughter Bethsaida Santiago, and two grandchildren Laelani and Messiah.
Jose put God first in everything he did. He met his wife at Belmont Maynard Nursing home where they both worked and were side by side ever since. He then soon started working alongside with his brother's company, Alves Painting. He had love for all animals, especially birds. He once owned 20 canaries, and even enjoyed going to bird shows. He loved being happy, joking with his family, cookouts, playing and watching soccer, and cooking his favorite meal (white rice and beans). He was a man of few words, but enjoyed conversation with those he loved. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, he took pride in being apart of their lives.
Jose's legacy of love and family will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His impact was deeply felt within his immediate family but his grace extended well beyond those he was related to. He will be sincerely missed. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Go Fund Me: In Loving Memory of Jose
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 9am to 11am at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, followed by a Graveside Service at 12pm at Westlawn II Cemetery, LOWELL.
