Jose Mari Maguregui, a dedicated and supportive father, was born on December 23, 1932, in Markina-Xemein, Spain, and passed away on June 9, 2023, in Boise, Idaho. Jose was a resilient and compassionate individual who touched the lives of many throughout his 90 years. As the poet John Donne once wrote, "Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."Jose married his late spouse, Merche Maguregui, on January 21, 1970, and together, they built a loving family. He worked as a foreman for a paving company in the construction industry until his retirement in 1997. Jose's strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were admirable qualities that he carried with him throughout his life. He is survived by his daughter, Miren Maguregui ( German), and was preceded in death by his father, Leandro Maguregui, mother, Josefa Onaindia, and spouse, Merche Maguregui. In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."Jose's family will be taking him home to the Basque Country where services will be held at a later time.

I am so very sad to hear of Jose´s passing. I enjoyed seeing him every spring with his pepper seeds and his wonderful big kind personality. I will miss him very much and have so much gratitude to have worked with him so many springs. Deepest sympathy to Joses family.
