Jose Alfredo Mendoza Caballero

Jose A. Mendoza Caballero, 72, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, was born on April 30, 1952, in Mexico, and passed away surrounded by his loving family at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX, on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents Rosalio and Isabel Mendoza and a sister Maria de Los Angeles Mendoza.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Araceli Vigil de Mendoza, his two daughters Linda Araceli and Alina Mendoza Vigil; grandchildren Giovanna, Daniela, Jose Alfredo, Fernanda, Angel Miguel, and Sergio; siblings Rosalio, Guadalupe and Isabel Mendoza Caballero.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral home on Friday, January 10, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM. Chapel will open on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 12:00 p.m. and interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery.
