Pepe is loved and will be greatly missed by his Wife, Rosa Linda C. Yanez, children, Joey Sanchez (Michelle), Diana S. Schmelzer (Carsten) Christoper Joel Sanchez, Melissa Yanez, Pete Elias, Alice Campos (Alfredo), Valerie Babineaux, grandchildren, Joshua Schmelzer, Melecio Jose Sanchez, Houston Sanchez, Tristan Gonzales, Kymberly Yanez (Brandon), Courtney Yanez, Houston Sanchez, great grandchildren, Amelia Rose Rosas, Anayeli Rose Rosas, Brenden Lee Rosas, Alayna Rose Rosas and numerous nephew, nieces, friends and Tejano Music Brothers.
Pepe was a catalyst in the Tejano/Conjunto Music world. He is a Tejano Root Hall of Famer Class of 2017. Pepe started his career as an M.C. at the bailes with Promoters Arturo Villarreal and Delmiro Garcia. He was heard by Manuel Davila the owner of KEDA 1540 at one of these bailes and offered him an opportunity. That was the beginning of a great career and platform he used to help the community, upcoming artist and people in need. Till his dying days Pepe was always trying to help someone. Pepe will truly be missed by his family, friends, Tejano/Conjunto Artists and community. Como dice el dicho favorito de Pepe from his all time favorite Band Tierra Tejana "ZAPATELE"
