In Loving Memory of Jose Tello Salinas

Ciudad Serdan, Puebla, Mexico (1969) - West Valley, Utah (2025)

Jose Tello Salinas, a beloved father, husband, brother, and entrepreneur, passed away on November 5, 2025. He was 56 years old. Born on October 9, 1969, in Ciudad Serdan, Puebla, Mexico, he was a son to Jose Luis Tello and Martha Tello Salinas.

Jose was a man of profound faith and unwavering determination. In 2002, he embarked on a journey to the United States, paving the way for his family. His wife, Maria, and their two children joined him in California, and the family later settled in West Valley, Utah. It was there that Jose, guided by his faith, began to build his legacy.

His dream, fueled by the grace and love of God, was to build businesses that could help others. Together with his wife, Maria, his children, and his brother Alberto Hugo Tello Salinas, he successfully established three restaurants under the name "El Gallo Loco." Jose was a living testament to his belief that with God at the center and a family united, anything is possible. He was a dreamer who never gave up, and his favorite phrase, "Echale Muchas Ganas" ("Give it your all"), inspired all who knew him.

In 2013, Jose was diagnosed with a parasitic infectious disease of the brain. Despite this immense challenge, his faith never wavered. He became a powerful example of resilience, hope, and the strength found in trusting God. Jose was a source of light and wisdom; his advice was considered more valuable than gold, and he was the person everyone turned to for guidance.

He taught his family to be humble, persistent, and to always kneel before God. He often said, "I don’t want people to know that I have money... I want them to think that I am more than a conqueror in Jesus Christ."

Jose's joy was infectious, his smile a beacon of hope. He encouraged everyone to never cry or give up, reminding them, "If God is with you, nothing can be against you." His core philosophy was that God is first, and family is a close second, emphasizing that family must always stay together.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Garcia Tello; his children, Kimberly Abigail Tello Garcia and Alberto Ulises Tello Garcia; his siblings, Luis Tello, Carlos Tello, Mariano Tello, Diana Tello, Paco Tello, Jose Tello, Alberto Tello, and Oscar Tello; and countless friends and family members whose lives he touched.

Jose Tello Salinas will be remembered as the man who never threw in the towel, the dreamer with no limits, and the humble servant of God who brought happiness and light to every room he entered. His legacy of faith, family, and "Echale Muchas Ganas" will live on forever.
