Joseph Battista Weitz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 22, 2024.
Joseph Battista Weitz, beloved life partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 70. Son of Marita Battista and Fred Weitz, Joseph was born on December 29, 1953, in Pittston, PA, and most recently resided in Largo, FL.

Joseph was an avid automobile enthusiast who loved everything from fixing cars to racing them. He found solace and joy in tinkering with engines and restoring old vehicles, particularly Cadillacs. He also had a great appreciation for country music, with Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson being among his favorite musical artists.

However, Joseph's greatest source of happiness came from his family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished every moment he spent with them creating lasting memories and showering them with love.

Joseph is survived by his life partner, Jean Bocci; his children Joseph Weitz, Kimmie Vincelli and husband Geoff, and Brianne Shotwell and husband Jade; Three grandchildren: McKayla, Keegan, and Zachary. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him, as he touched the lives of many with his kind spirit and genuine heart.

Jean, I miss him so much we are cousins but he became my best friend. When I needed to vent or just laugh I had him. He was always there for me. I hope he knew I was always there for him.
Words can´t express how sorry we are for you, Bree and family
