Joseph Boutin Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 11, 2025.
Joseph Lionel Boutin, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his home on July 9, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on June 6, 1963, in Putnam, Connecticut, Joseph was the beloved son of the late Lucien Philip and Maryann May (Heeps) Boutin. His life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the simple joys that make a life well-lived.

Joseph's early years in Putnam were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, and this foundation of love and support shaped the man he would become. He carried these values throughout his life, touching the hearts of everyone he met. On October 2, 2021, Joseph married his soulmate, Debra, and together they created a blended family full of laughter, love, and cherished memories.

A devoted father, Joseph is survived by his daughter, Kristen (Troy) Sanborn of Preston, CT, and his step-children, Emelia (James) Simoneau, Heather (Jason) LaChapelle, and Andrew (Danielle) DeSantis. His legacy continues through the lives of his 11 grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Joseph's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his guidance and affection will be deeply missed.

Joseph also leaves behind his siblings, Maryann, Yvette, Robert, Lucien, Carol, and Marcel, as well as many nieces and nephews. Each family member held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the moments they spent together. Joseph's presence was a source of comfort and strength to his family, and his memory will be honored in the stories they share.

An avid fisherman, Joseph found solace and pleasure in the tranquility of nature. His happiest moments were spent with a fishing rod in hand, surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. But even more than fishing, Joseph loved spending time with his grandchildren. Each moment with them was precious, and he took great delight in their accomplishments and adventures.

Joseph was best described as loving-a word that encapsulates his entire being. His love was a guiding force, a light that shone brightly in the lives of those who knew him. Joseph's kindness, generosity, and warm spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we bid farewell to Joseph Lionel Boutin, we celebrate a life that was rich in love and joy. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were touched by his love. Though he has left this earthly realm, the essence of who he was-a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend-will never be forgotten. We love you to the beach and back.

No services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial.
