Joseph Michael Boyer (1947-2025), passed away on November 6, 2025 at the age of 78 in Grove, Oklahoma. Born on April 10, 1947 in Darby, Pennsylvania to Edgar and Catherine Boyer.
Throughout his life, he embodied dedication, service and love for his family and friends.A proud Vietnam War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, where he found a purpose in protecting others. After his military service, he continued his commitment to helping others as a police officer, where his sense of duty and compassion made a lasting impact on his community.In his personal life, Joe found joy and peace in the simple pleasures. He loved to spend hours on his boat, fishing, and enjoying the quiet moments by the water. He cherished gatherings where laughter was front and center.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Boyer, son, Michael Boyer; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Boyer; daughter, Lee Anne Whalen; son-in-law Richard Whalen; stepson, Daniel Clayton; daughter, Kasey Boyer, daughter, Riki Boyer; son-in-law Corey Ford; brother, Charles Boyer; sister-in-law Marge Boyer; sister, Louise Sherwin; brother, James Boyer; sister-in-law Victoria Boyer.Also survived by his grandchildren: Morgan, Ethan, Peyton, Anthony, Aiden and Sammy.
Joe did not want any funeral services; however; the family will host a celebration of Joe’s life at a later date in the near future.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
