Joey Buckman, age 59 of Sturgis, KY passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was born December 14, 1964 to Dorothy Louise and Francis Utley Buckman. He dearly loved his family and his wife of 34 years, Julie Beth. Everything he loved, he loved wholeheartedly. He had a special touch with animals, especially horses and dogs. He enjoyed playing music with his family and buddies. He was a craftsman and loved to gift his art to others He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and attended St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Nan Melton and Ellen Barbee; brothers Johnny & David Buckman.

Funeral service will be 10 AM Friday, August 9, 2024 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waverly, KY.
Fr, John Okoro will officiate.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday and 8:30 AM until service time Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY
Rosary will be said at 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
