I met Joe back in High School through my brother Buddy who was also an athlete in Delaware. Joe was one of the good guys. He was kind, generous and one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. He will always be remembered. Rest in peace angel.

I played w Joe at Maryland AND the Raiders. He was a genuine and fun man. We had a ton of fun together in 1980 as part of the Raider SB15 championship season. We called him Joe the Jet cause he was so fast. Raider owner Al Davis loved Maryland players and was kind to both Joe and me. Joe looked like a Greek god in 1980 w curly light brown hair, 6´6" and cut like stone.

Am thinking about he and his family daily this week. Go Terps and Let´s Go Gettem Raiders!!!

I remember Joe from his school days with his pal Jamey who were regulars at my store. Awesome guy, great athlete, never once mentioned who he was. He will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to all his loved ones. Sincerely, Bert

Joe was a great athlete but an even better teammate and classmate. He was instrumental in making the class of 73' at Salesianum special. RIP my friend.

Joe was a great gent. I was on the swim team at Maryland and taught some of the football players to swim. One of the good guys for sure. Very sad.

So many memories, my time at South Mountain was definitely positively impacted by Joe and his rock chewing dog!
Even this far away in time and location, I feel this loss.
