Joseph Cardoza Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 23, 2014.
Joseph William Cardoza Jr. died on November 23rd , surrounded by family, at the Ronald Reagan Hospital in Los Angeles. He was 75 years old. Born October 5, 1939. Joe worked as an electrician for the motion picture industry for 41 years. More than that he was an artist, a writer, a carpenter, a pianist, an inventor, a falconer, a loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He was a thinker, and we will forever miss his thoughts. Joe is survived by his wife Lynda-three children - Scott, Jennifer, and Carrie - and his seven grand-children. As an expression of sympathy and memorial, please support your local park. Ride your unicycle, play Semagria, and enjoy the grass between your toes.

I never met Joe, but wish I could have. His name share with me long ago by two of his friends who practiced falconry with Joe in the 1960's. Wayne Manska and Don Cameron. They, along with Phil Marlett had many adventures together while searching for owls, hawks and falcons in the southern California area mostly. Some of those adventures are on a DVD recently copied from those early films and transferred to a DVD with the title of "Hawks" placed on it. That DVD sent to me by Wayne Manska and view by me for the first time, today.

Only hours ago, Wayne Manska sent me a link to Joe's obituary. Wayne just learned of Joe's passing himself.

After reading what has been written about Joe from those of you who did know him, I wish I had met him. Those who spoke of him to me always held him in high regard. It is fun seeing the DVD now showing him in his younger years when he was so vital and pursuing adventure.
Sincerely
