Joseph J. Carvello

I was blessed to have met, known, & befriended Joe, who was a resident at Salem Haven, where my own mother has resided since last February. Joe was loved by all the residents & staff -- and fortunately for everyone else -- he gladly participated in a variety of residents' social activities. Joe re-introduced me to the fine points of playing cribbage, which was an honor for me, since I noticed his proudly-worn cribbage championship pin that he recently won at the nearby Salem Senior Center. Despite his being thirty years my senior, Joe and I connected every early evening, when I visited my mother -- to whom he was always kind and very respectful. Glad I got to see you, Joe, @ Holy Family Hospital, before you went to 'Heaven's own Cribbage Tournament.' PEACE, my friend!
