I was so sorry to read this notice of Joe's passing. I worked at DCF with him in the 1970's. The work was difficult and emotionally draining; whenever Joe would visit our neighboring office, he would invariably brighten our day with his story-telling; an inveterate jokester, he could have been a stand-up comic! Almost 50 years later,I can still picture him with his wavy black hair, his slim body and gesticulating arms as he related a funny true to life experience. He was one of a kind, and I have never forgotten him.
All was not fun and joking, however. I recall his profound sadness and grief on the loss of his beloved son.
May his family be consoled by their memories of this kind and passionate man.

I was saddened to hear of Joe's passing. We first met as members of the l07th Signal Company. Joe was always an inspirational individual, and we considered him a role model. Later we would get together at monthly gun club meetings and reminisce about the old days. May he rest in peace.

Joe was my primary contact with the 107th Signal Company and I would never had made it to the last two reunions without his help and encouragement. We had many email exchanges over the past decade talking about Vietnam, fishing and life in general. He was a good hearted soul and I wish his family the best in these difficult times.
