Joseph N. Castillo of Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born in Pharr, Texas on January 16, 1945, the son of Genaro and Antonina (Gomez) Castillo. Joe loved music and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. He loved watching Old Western movies and reminiscing about the olden days. His greatest joy was his son Jeffery and the many vacations they took together.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Genaro (the late Ruth) Castillo Jr., Andrea (the late Greg) Granado, Carmen (Joe) Leal and Mary (Matt) Lopez, his brother-in-law Emilio Otero, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Diane, son Jeffery and siblings, Maria Socorro (Angel Otero), Gloria Otero, and Beatrice (Rafael) Marrero.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish-St. William Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. A luncheon will follow. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Please meet at the cemetery chapel.
