Joseph E. Chojnacki

Joseph E. Chojnacki, 72, of Connellsville died Friday, March 31, 2023, at his home. He was born July 24, 1950, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Joseph V. and Anna Kazmarek Chojnacki. Joe was a graduate of Holy Innocents High School in Pittsburgh and a graduate of Duquesne University. He was a retired manger from Levin Furniture. He was also a member of the Air Force Air National Guard for six years. Joe loved music and was an avid musician and talented drummer. He loved to share his music with his family and friends. He was also a lover of all sports for all of his life. He was an active member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Dunbar. He is survived by his wife, Elaine M. Hankle Chojnacki; brother-in-law, Ray DeFade, of Pittsburgh ; nephews and niece, Raymond DeFade and his wife Chris, of Pittsburgh, Eric DeFade and his wife, Kelley, of Pittsburgh and Dorette Younkin and her husband, Jim, of Uniontown; and a special cousin, Cynthia Koronowski, of Virginia; his Hankle-in-laws, Robert Hankle and his wife, Marcia, of Teaneck, N.J., Gregory Hankle, of Connellsville, Christopher Hankle, of Connellsville, and Linda Kernisky and her husband, John, of Monessen; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews including a special great-niece, Charlotte Hankle; and his best friends, Alex and Judy Giobbi, of Connellsville. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Dolores DeFade. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church with the Rev.
