Joseph William Choma

Joseph William Choma, age 80, passed away on March 13, 2025. He was born September 23, 1944, in New York, to the late Joseph Theodore Choma and Anna Pankiw Choma.
Joe enjoyed spending time with his true love Doris, children, and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed sharing his ice cream sandwiches with his grandchildren. Joe was an avid sports fan, especially of hockey and football.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W Gannon Ave, Zebulon.
The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris Loraine; daughters Aileen Marie Hofving, Kristine Renee Choma; grandchildren: Alicia Marie Capano, Alexander Joseph Choma,Kaitlyn Paige Haberkorn, Rebecca Renee Hofving. Great-Grandchildren: Brodie Maddison Capano and Zoe Mae Courtney, and 5 nieces & 2 nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter Charlene Gail; sister MaryAnn Niekrewicz.
