To Joe, our dear friend.
I was in your wedding. You were in ours.
Throughout all these years, you have been our rock, always ready with wine and gourmet dishes to sooth the soul.
You were our private taxi service to and from the airport.
You visited us in Sète and Corsica and sailed the Mediterranean with us.
In the winter, I kept summer clothes handy so I would always be ready to visit you in Solavita.
When you returned to Toledo, I was thrilled to continue our traditions of outings.
Always the consummate connoisseur of wine and the quintessential international gourmet, you entertained all those around you with your tales of travels and cultural and linguistic discoveries.

When you had to leave us, you left us with a wealth of bittersweet memories that will help sooth our souls as we continue traditions, always thinking of you.

Rest in peace my friend.

Condolences to Trudy and the family. Joseph was a good man, the world was better for his having been here.
