Dear Shannon and Ellen and family,

I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing but I was so interested in his life-accomplishments. I never met him but I am impressed with his many years of service. I knew your mother for many years so now I picture them doing the many things that make a marriage and family 'happen'.

I was one of the Chemistry students that created the Water Lab under Dr. Comp's capable direction. The experience I gained there enabled me to be successful in obtaining an M.S. in Chemistry. Dr. Comp was a good man and he will be missed.
