Joseph "Joe" Crescenzo

Joseph "Joe" Crescenzo, 86, of Wallingford, loving husband to Marie (Sicignano) Crescenzo for 62 years, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025 at Masonic Home and Hospital.
Joe was born in New Haven on April 7, 1938, a son of the late John and Sandria (Santomasimo) Crescenzo.
Joe worked for Gallo Wine for many years before opening his own painting business, Winthrop Painting, with his brother, Johnny. He later went to work for Beaver Express before retiring in 2013.
Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends and loved to play horseshoes.
In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by his daughter, Sandria Pilla and her husband, Anthony; his sister, Delores Gamberdella; his grandsons, Anthony Pilla Jr. and John Crescenzo II; and his great granddaughter, Bella Crescenzo. He was predeceased by his son, John Crescenzo; his brother, John Crescenzo and his twin brother, Robert Crescenzo.
Joe's family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 10 am until 12 pm. His funeral service will follow at 12 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in St John Cemetery in Wallingford.
