Joseph DeBlasio Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph A. DeBlasio, Sr. announces his passing after a long battle with dementia, on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the age of 86 years.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Joe was a proud Army veteran of the Korean War. He was in the financial field for his entire career. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed playing cards, especially pinocle & blackjack and traveling with his wife. Besides enjoying watching sports on TV, he would always insist on holiday family get-togethers for Thanksgiving and Christmas that would last all day.
In addition to his beloved wife of 65 years- Josephine whom he shared many happy years of laughter, family and fond memories, Joseph will be missed and remembered by his children; son Joseph (Janice), daughters Dina (Dan) Gomba and Cristina (Nick) DiSilvestro; his six grandchildren; Danny, Rachel, Vince, Alex, Luciana and Olivia; and by his two brothers, Anthony & Michael DeBlasio and two sisters - Agnes Goncalves & Theresa Fusco.
Relatives and friends may greet Joseph's family on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00 p.m. until the start of his Prayer Service, at 12:15pm, at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
Interment with military honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940 at 2:00 pm.
