On November 9, 2025, of Glassboro. Age 62. Beloved husband of Andrea (nee Anastasio). Devoted father of Maria Zalaf (Anthony), Julia Cardellia (Vincenzo), and Joseph DiPietro (Maria). Loving pop-pop of Anthony, Luca, and Nina. Dear son of Elizabeth (nee Donahue) and the late Vincent DiPietro. Dear brother of Vincent DiPietro (Regina), Donna Galligan (Clement), and Stephanie Carbonaro (the late Domenick). Cherished brother in law of Joseph Anastasio (Andrea) and Maria DiCicco (James). Loved by many nieces and nephews.
Joe was an amazing athlete and enjoyed being a basketball referee for the CYO for many years and went on to become PIAA to referee high school and college games. When his children were young, he enjoyed coaching their teams and others and was often told he left a lasting impact.
Joe enjoyed his long career as a Systems Engineer and was blessed to have worked with many wonderful people.
In his free time, he loved spending time with his family at the beach, watching sports and tending to his cherished fish tank with a glass of wine. His Sunday gravy will be missed as he took great pride in cooking.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his visitation Friday, November 14th 8:15 – 10:15 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM at Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish/Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 500 Greentree Rd., Glassboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
