August 16, 2025
I remember going to Joey & Brian's football games with uncle Joe, I was his right hand man every game ,I remember him taking pictures with his top of the line camera for that time ,I know they were heavy cause every zoom attachment for his cameras were around my neck, lol I was around 10 and 11 yrs old for Joey's game's and 13 & 14yrs old for Brian's games i remember at the cold games Joey let me wear his white roman catholic Letterman jacket I was honored to wear that coat especially when they needed me to be waterboy I ran out during time outs imagining I was Joey and it's forever embedded in my head !!!! I love my family and proudly say my uncle joe doc was one the greatest people in my life . Joey and Brian are more like brother's to me growing up and that bond will never go away ,that's my childhood experience growing up with family members so close the bond we have made have memories that I could write a book ,and it would be a best seller 100%, I'd like to thank my uncle Joe for believing in me and never giving up on me when I was first starting out as an ironworker for local 401. He gave me job wen I didn't have a clue i wanted be career wise and I thank him every time I step on the iron on every job I work on. !!!!!!

God´s Garden
God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God`s Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "PEACE BE THINE."
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn´t go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
Thank you for being a part of our journey!

To the Dougherty family: Please accept my deepest condolences & I'm sure I won't be the first one to tell you this, but I truly believe if it wasn't for Joe & local 401 me & my family would not be members of the middle/working class & for that I am eternally grateful. Joe Doc is Ironworkers local 401 & Ironworkers local 401 is Joe Doc one in the same.

Joe,
Thank you so much for your service to all of us members at Local 401. You always fought for the men and their families. Even when I went overseas you always told me, if my wife or kids needed anything to just call the Hall and you will never know what that meant to me and how that made me feel, I knew they would be in good hands while I was away. If it was not for you, I would not have what I have today. You and my Brother Jimmy entered Heaven on the same day. You have done so much for our Local, you will be missed tremendously! Your door was always opened to us members. God Bless You and watch down on us...
