Joe became my regional mgr back in 1980 when he hired me to become part of the Swift Adhesives Team. He always liked to refer to our profession as, "the glue biz".
Joe was a great boss and a wonderful friend throughout the years. After I left the company we continued to keep in touch almost until the end. I will certainly remember him with great fondness and want to send my condolences and best to his loving sister Carol and his nephews. Jo shared a close bond with each of them and always talked about them with great pride. Rest well Jo Jo, you are a man that none of us who really knew you will ever forget.

I knew Joe from Wyandotte High but did not pal around then. When we came home from the military
we hit it off at once. One day playing hard ball
catch at Splitlog park Joe tells me, do you realize
in 8 years we will be 30? I felt like throwing the ball at him. Then to finish the day we would drive to
Quivira lake and swim all day. Joe had this unique
laugh where if something was really funny he would
laugh silently so hard that tear would flow.
I miss you Joe,
It's been a great ride.
Your long time friend,

I only knew Joe for a short while. I was one of the volunteers who took Holy Communion to him. I always enjoyed seeing Joe. He would say it "made his day" to receive Communion; and he truly meant it. He was a very sweet man and I will miss seeing and visiting with him.
