Mr. Joseph Jack Duncan, age 86, of Cana, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on June 27, 1939 in Surry County to the late Richard and Della Pack Duncan. Left to cherish his memory are his significant other, Bridgett Lowe; daughters, Teresa Ramey (Johnny); son, Billy Duncan (Debbie); grandchildren, Jennifer Lee Marshall (Chad), LeAnn Alderman, Travis Hill (Susie), Christy Barnes (BJ); great-grandchildren, Bentlee Barnes, Kaylee Barnes, Gable Hill, McKenzie Hill, Jackson Alderman, Weston Hill, Chloe Marshall, Abby Marshall, Briar Marshall, Kacie Vass; great-grandchild, Layke Vass as well as his fur baby, Sissy. In addition to his parents Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Daisy Mae Jones Duncan as well as his brothers, Romey, Garfield William, Bobby, Richard, Junior, and Lewis Duncan; sisters, Pauline Robertson. Lois Ice and Lila Doss. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Bro. Jimmy Coalson and Bro. Ponch Yates. Burial will follow in Old Hollow Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time for the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
