Born October 28, 1930, went to be with our Lord February 21, 2021. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Rev. Edmonds is the beloved husband of the late Shirley Edmonds and the late Estha Edmonds; loving father of Estha Jane Montgomery (Dave), Rebecca Specht (Brian), and Joanna Craig (Bill); cherished grandfather of Christopher Craig, Erica Brissette, Cynthia Craig, Christina Arnberg, Chelsea Jardina, and Kimberly Chamberlain; treasured great-grandfather of Korben Brissette, Everleigh, Sloane and Reagan Arnberg, Eli and Ezariah Craig, Emma and Abigail Jardina, Kamilla, Kamali, and Kamaro Chamberlain.Rev. Edmonds graduated from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, TN, and from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He dedicated his life to serving our Lord as the pastor of the following churches: First Baptist Church of Ballston in Arlington, VA; First Baptist Church of Mulberry in Mulberry, FL; First Baptist Church of Friendly in Fort Washington, MD; First Baptist Church of Fruitland, in Fruitland, MD; and Anacostia Baptist Church in Washington, DC.A private funeral will be held at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, Alexandria, VA, followed by interment at George Washington Cemetery in Adelphi, MD.
