Joseph G. Ferrel, age 95 years, passed away April 3, 2025, in Council Bluffs.
Joe was born November 6, 1929, to the late Jesse and Eva Ferrel in Council Bluffs. Joe served in the Iowa National Guard. Then he worked at Griffen Pipe Co. until he retired in 1987.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joanne Ferrel; second wife, Lorraine Ferrel; brothers, Carl "Bud" (Artis) Ferrel, Dale Ferrel.
He is survived by daughters, Judy (Randy) Schumann, Jill Smith, Jan (Victor) Smith; grandchildren, Jaime, Wade, Hali, Connie, Katie; 12 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Sandy Belt; and half-brother, Glen Wilber; sister-in-law, Doris Ferrel; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Cutler-O'Neil-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment, at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, with luncheon to follow. Visitation, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Chapel.
