Joseph William Forbeck

Joseph Forbeck passed away August 27, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on December 27, 1952 in El Paso, Texas to Earl and Mimy Forbeck. He is survived by his son, Ian Carpenter, and siblings Daniel, Kay, Mark, Victoria and Patrick.
Joseph was very active in the theater community and was passionate about being a stagehand. He proudly told people he was a member of IATSE and worked with their local chapter for many years. His performance as "The Elephant Man" was met with many wonderful reviews. He worked with many local theater troupes, working last with Theatre De Art. Larger-than-life, artistic and whimsical, he always had a story to tell. He will be missed by many and loved by more.
An intimate, informal Celebration of Life will be held for Joseph at Red Crags at 302 El Paso Blvd on Sept. 23rd from 12-4.
