Joseph Frankowski Jr., passed away Wednesday March 19th, 2025 on St. Joseph's Day, at the age of 71. Joe was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from Saint Joseph's Preparatory School class of 1971. He worked as a longshoreman for many years and then filled his time as a handy man performing various small repairs, maintenance tasks, and odd jobs around homes or businesses, using his skills and tools to fix or assemble almost anything.
Joe was extremely handy, mechanically inclined and talented musician. He could spend hours working on various items, cars, tools and instruments. He was full of personality, a strong willed firecracker personality. He was very intelligent and loved by his family. Joe had a very engaging smile, caring, loving, big-hearted and was willing to take his shirt off his back for anyone. He was a collector of all things, and could find a use for everything, and knew exactly where everything was. In Joe's recent years he enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, attending mass, and spending time with family and friends.
Joe was the loving father of his beloved daughter Jeanne (Chris) Murphy and proud pop of his grandson Gunner. Dearest brother to his loving siblings Karen (Marty) Weikel and John (Tracy) Frankowski. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews as well as his six great nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents Joseph Sr. and Anne, and his son Joseph Frankowski. The idea of being reunited with his son, gave him much comfort, and knowing they are now together again in heaven we know he has eternal joy.
Funeral services are being held privately.

I knew Joe through our church and church ministry. He was always kind to me. We spoke a lot and he shared much about his life. He had a lot of sadness in his life, but was always strong, I believe through the power of the Holy Spirit. He spoke so lovingly about his mom and dad and how much he felt loved growing up. I feel blessed to have known him.

I know this phrase has been used a lot, but Joe really did have a heart of gold. I´ve seen it when he´s helped certain people in need his brothers and sisters at first Christian assembly in South Philadelphia and at Calvary Chapel fellowship in South Philadelphia will miss him. Joe, thanks for the laughs.
