Joseph F. Granroth "Joe", passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2024 surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Joe was born on April 26th, 1967 in Philadelphia PA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rita Granroth and his brother, Jim Granroth. Joe leaves behind his wife, Nancy Granroth, daughter Alyssa Guynn (Zach Guynn), sons Tyler and Andrew Granroth, father Joseph Granroth Sr, grandsons Grayson and Brooks Guynn, brothers Brian Granroth and Mark Granroth (Faith Granroth), and sister Rita Granroth.
Joe was a cherished husband to his wife Nancy, whom he just celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary with. He was a loving father to Alyssa, Tyler, and Andrew. He was an extraordinary "Pop" to his favorite people in the world- Grayson and Brooks. He was a dedicated little league baseball coach as well as a basketball coach for his sons and many others.
Joe was a proud member of IBEW Local 98. He retired in May 2024, after working 37 years as an electrician. He was often labeled as a protector by people who were closest to him. He was a prankster, and you could always count on him for a good time. He loved anything Philadelphia sports related, and enjoyed watching games with his family and friends. He also enjoyed going to concerts and had a love for 80's alternative rock.
The funeral services will be private and entrusted to Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home in Merchantville, NJ. The family will have a "Celebration of life" on Friday October 25, 2024 from 6-10PM at The Legacy Club in Cherry Hill, NJ, and invite all who knew Joe to gather and honor his life.
