I first met Father Joe when he was at my parish Our Lady Of Lourdes in Montclair, California. He was funny, friendly, and very kind. He had such a way about him. He helped our parish organize trips to baseball games and genuinely showed us how much he cared about us. Years later when my mother was dying, he came and gave her last rites. Father Joe was a very unique priest. He was not unapproachable, he was warm and very comforting. He is greatly missed.

Fr. Joe was an amazing friend and mentor to the Zagorski family. He was there for every important occasion, always ready to offer a wise word or (even better) a snappy joke. As an educator he touched many, many lives; and, as a spiritual man, many, many more. He will be truly missed.

Fr. Gregorek was an incredible person, who will always be remembered and missed.
He was a family friend, priest at our church and my professor at Gannon University. He married my husband and I and baptized our 2 older children. I will miss his presence, hearing his homilies, and hearing his stories. Rest in Peace.

Father Joe was an inspirational person, fabulous teacher, priest and friend.

We were fortunate when he co-celebrated our marriage on July 3, 1971 @ Heinz Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh Campus.

Rest in peace Father Joe. You're gave your heart & soul to the Roman Catholic Church and Catholic education.

Father Joe attended so many of our family celebrations and funerals. I remember spending summers in Erie as kids growing up with his family. My condolences to the family that is left. He will be greatly missed.
