I grew up knowing the Hilton Family through church and school. I remember going to birch bay and there home in town. What a wonderful life he had.

My warmest wishes go to Helen and all of Joe´s Family. The church service was wonderful the wide range of friends that Joe had is amazing. I first met Joe at Coffee Group in 1996 when his group gathered at the Co-Op on Forest and Holly. We all enjoyed Joe´s wit and thoughtful sense of humor. Anytime a story was told, it had better be factual or corrections would be forthcoming in a calm and precise fashion. When I talked about my fishing adventures or joked about fishing, you might have thought fishing was something that he could try in the future. Never once did I hear him brag about his three "Hole in Ones." His total and complete love for Helen and his kids was always evident. "God Bless you Joe always and forever. Enjoy your heavily coffee group, those guys have been missing you too!

I have known Joe since I was 1 year old; our parents were very close, as well as I was with the entire Hilton family. I left for the Army in October 1950 and never returned to Bellingham to live. However, through the years, I maintained a close friendship with Joe. I always considered him my best friend ever. I shall miss him. Some day I will smell the roses with Joe.

I knew Joe from IBC as well as a customer when I worked at Bellingham National Bank. He loved to tease but he cared so much. It was a pleasure, Joe. See you in heaven!

Helen, Holly and the boys, my enduring memories of Mister Hilton (as he was known to us kids) were those we shared at First Baptist. I appreciated his commitment to the mission and the church's sustainability. I am lifting you in care and prayer in this painful time, praying you may find comfort in your many memories and shared experiences over many years. Blessings,
