Joseph Robert “Bobby” Hollingsworth, age 89, of Camden, TN passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Hollingsworth was born on April 21, 1935, in Camden, TN to the late Henry Harvey Hollingsworth and the late Grace Maiden Hollingsworth. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Porter Hollingsworth. Mr. Hollingsworth joined the U.S. Navy out of high school, returning home he began to work as an Outboard Motor Mechanic for Earl’s Sporting Goods in Camden and later worked in Maintenance as an Electrician with Camden Castings. He was also a member of Camden Masonic Lodge 179. Bobby was a funny, witty, smart man. He loved his family very much and family meant everything to him. He was smart as a tack and could recall things from years ago as easily as if it was yesterday. He could tell great stories in detail like with his “pirate gun” and teaching the kids how to tell time on their watch. He enjoyed early morning fishing with his sons. Known by many names, “Bobby”, or by the grandkids as “BDB”, “Nonnie”, and “Blueberry Grandpa” because of his blueberry bushes that would give him hundreds of blueberries every year, if the squirrels didn’t get them first. He will be missed dearly.
