Joseph C. Brooks III (Joey) was born on August 16, 1961 in Evanston, Illinois, the eldest child of the late

Joseph C. Brooks Jr. and Patricia Elaine Brooks.

Joey attended Evanston Township High School where he played football. After graduating in 1979, he attended College of the Redwoods in California where in 1980, he met his wife, Patricia A. Carroll.

In 1980, he founded Joey's Movers with one pickup truck and has since grown the business into one of the most reputable moving companies along the North Shore and entire Chicago land area. Joey believed in providing for his family and instilling a strong work ethic in his children.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Cleon (Addie).

Joey leaves to celebrate his life his wife of 40 years, Patricia A. Brooks, sons: Bryan and Joseph C. Brooks IV, daughters: Danika (James) and Katherine. Grandchildren: Symone, Justin, Christopher , Zyon, Jamon, Jacoby, Skye, , Kiley, Kaci, and Kameron; Sisters Tammy and Karen (Jimmie),Niece & Nephew: Avery & Myles (Karen) and three great-grandchildren

and a host of other relatives and friends. Joey was residing in Florida with his wife at the time of his passing.
