Joseph Lee Jones, 88 of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in his residence. He was born in Terre Haute on June 4, 1937 to Arnold Jones and Grace Hudson Jones.
Joseph retired as a maintenance tech from I.S.U. after 39 years of service and was part of “The Singing Jones Family”. His pride and joy was his model train set-up in his home and he also served as a volunteer fireman with the West Terre Haute Fire Department.
Joseph is survived by his wife Janet Blanc Jones who he married October 10, 1964, and they had known each other since age 5, and he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a brother Jack Jones, and two sisters, Ann Crowley and Dorothy Webb.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Larry Mathias officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
