North Augusta, SC – Mr. Joseph K. Jordan, Sr., 98, entered into rest January 4, 2026, at his home. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charlie Crews officiating. Entombment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends at funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 o'clock.

Mr. Jordan was born July 9, 1927, to the late Jack Dorsay Jordan, Sr. and Norma Kelley Jordan. Raised in Columbia County, GA, he has made North Augusta is home since 1957. Mr. Jordan was a true patriot and a proud retiree of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his naval service he even participated in the testing of the atomic bomb in 1946. Following his retirement, Mr. Jordan continued serving his veteran community through membership in the V.F.W. Post 8738 in Lexington, SC and the American Legion Post 71 in North Augusta, SC. Mr. Jordan had a strong work ethic and would go on to retire from the Savannah River Plant and later from Kimberly Clark as a mechanical maintenance technician. He was a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge and actively involved in masonic fraternities for many years. Mr. Jordan achieved The 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and The Masonic Knight Templar, the highest body in the York Rite of Freemasonry. He was also a member of the Jamil Shrine Temple in Columbia, SC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Frances Richards Jordan; a son, Richard A. Jordan; and his siblings, Jack D. Jordan, Jr., Gordan D. Jordan, William T. Jordan, James M. Jordan, Esther E. Higgenbotham, Violet Potenski, and Ruth Langham.

Surviving family members include a daughter Kathy Jordan Pedraza and her husband Vince; a son, Joseph K. Jordan, Jr. and his wife Penny Bonnie; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Jordan's grandsons.
