Joseph Michael Kearney, 29, of Lewisberry, PA, passed away on May 30, 2025, at his home. He was born on May 21, 1996, in Camp Hill, PA to Michael and Lynn Kearney.
Joseph is survived by his parents Michael and Lynn Kearney; paternal grandmother, June Kearney; spouse (separated) Samantha Kearney (Cozzi); his son, Sky Antony Kearney, and five brothers including Patrick Kearney and Tabetha Troutman, Michael Kearney, Jr., John Kearney, Anthony Kearney, and Gabriel Kearney, as well as two sisters, Maria Kearney (Mansell) and Stephen Mansell, and Sophia Kearney (Topper) and Dominik Topper. He is also survived by two nephews and nieces, Carter Troutman, Calvin Kearney, Aurora Mansell, and Vanessa Topper. Joseph is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Paul Kearney; and maternal grandparents Joan and Stanley Moore.
Joe is remembered for his big smile and loving heart. He enjoyed growing up on 16th Street in New Cumberland, playing baseball and spending countless hours building forts and making movies with his brothers and sisters. He also enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and making music. Hiking and being out in nature were also things Joe enjoyed. His faith and spiritual readings played a big role in his life. He valued his time with his son, Sky, and loved playing ball with him, building snowmen and taking walks.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at his home, 1040 Kunkles Mill Road, Lewisberry, PA 17339 from 11AM - 8PM. A Votive Mass will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1943 Craley Rd, Windsor, PA 17366 on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 11AM, with burial to follow immediately after at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 3420 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
