Born in West Medford, Mass. on December 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Joseph G. Kinsman Sr. and Mildred (MacBrine) Kinsman. He was predeceased by his sister Lois Kinsman and his cherished son, Jason Michael Kinsman. Joseph is survived by his devoted daughters; Jennifer L. Kinsman (Kenneth), Stephanie Cimeno (Tom), Annastasia Castro (Jordan); five loving grandchildren; Caitlin, Alexandra, Grace, Parker and Simon; his dear sister, Joan Kinsman Symons (Jim); and his poised former wife, Jacquelyn Kinsman; as well as two nieces, a nephew, and countless friends who will remember him with love.

Raised in West Medford, Joseph graduated from Medford High School with the class of 1960. A proud Boy Scout, he spent his youth on baseball fields and frozen ponds playing hockey. In1963, Joseph enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Fort Dix, NJ until receiving his transfer orders to Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN.

After marrying Jacquelyn, Joseph built a distinguished career in financial services, beginning with John Hancock Insurance, where he achieved membership in the Million Dollar Roundtable Club. Later, he transitioned into running his own Independent Financial Services business, known not only for his expertise but also for his wit and genuine care, turning many clients into lifelong friends. During this time, Joseph raised his family in Reading, MA where he was active in the community and found joy in coaching Reading Little League for over a decade.

He loved taking his family to various Boston sporting events, which he supported passionately – especially trips to Fenway Park to catch a Red Sox game! Joe himself could be found playing tennis and golf, fishing in quiet moments, and exposing his daughters to Broadway shows & concerts as special experiences. But his love for adventure could not be matched. He was known for his worldly travels and you would be hard pressed to find a country he missed. But his most memorable destinations were; South Africa, Egypt and Peru along the Amazon River.

In 1978, Joseph built a family retreat in Lincoln, NH where he became a respected figure in the local community, and made long lasting, deeply rooted friendships. Some roles he enjoyed were; VP of the Homeowner's Assoc., Ski Ambassador for Loon Mtn. and taking financial interests in area restaurants including Truants Tavern .Above all, Joseph will be remembered for his humor, the pride that he took in his family, and his unwavering patriotism – a defining thread throughout his life.

A private memorial service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Jimmy Fund (jimmyfund.org), a cause that was dear to Joseph's heart.
