The Lord took Joseph Walter Kraus, age 86, to his heavenly home on July 19, 2024. Some knew Joe as “Buddy” others as “Moose”. He was the son of Walter and Margaret (Brickett) Kraus, beloved husband for 62 years of Emma Jean (Rau) Kraus, loving father of Joseph G. (Deborah) Kraus and Kurt G. Kraus, brother of Walter Kraus and the late Arthur Kraus, adoring grandfather of Madison and Emmaleigh, brother-in-law of the late Charles (Sylvia) Rau and Joseph (Cheryl) Rau, also survived by nieces and nephews, and many faithful friends. Joe was a lifetime member of All Saints Church in Etna. He was one of the first Extraordinary Ministers at All Saints, past officer of All Saints Athletic Association and Holy Name Society. He enjoyed playing softball and watching sports of all kind. Joe will be missed by all his family and friends. Celebrate Joe’s life with his family at Bock Funeral Home, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116, Monday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Matthew Parish, All Saints Church, Etna, on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Burial in Christ the Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Matthew Parish, 3616 Mt. Troy Road, Pittsburgh PA 15212, or TASH, Inc. 8878 Covenant Avenue, #303, Pittsburgh PA 15237
