Joseph Andrew Leonard

Joseph Andrew Leonard passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on March 24th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. In his final month, he was surrounded by love in a beautiful family home, where friends and family gathered to share time, stories, and their love for Joe.

Joe’s greatest legacy is his commitment to family and the extraordinary community of people whose lives he touched. He cherished friendships that spanned a lifetime—from childhood companions to those he met through his adventures in bowling, volleyball, curling, softball, and pool. He built deep and lasting relationships with colleagues and customers during his work of more than 30 years at Fury Motors, often turning those connections into lifelong friendships through his integrity and genuine care for others. To many, he became “Uncle Joe,” a title that reflected the deep affection he shared with those who welcomed him as family.

Joe had a remarkable ability to notice the needs others might miss, and he responded with generosity, compassion, and quiet strength. Whether offering his time, talents, or resources, Joe gave freely and without hesitation. He was the person you could always count on—the helper, the steady presence, the one who made life easier and brighter for those around him.

Joe’s life was a gift to all who knew him; his greatest joy came from giving of himself, and all of us who experienced it are richer for it.

Please join us in celebrating Joe’s life on Sunday, March 29th at 2:00 at a place he loved, 740 N. Concord Street, food and fellowship afterwards. Burial will be on Monday, March 30, at 11:00 am at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights.
