Joseph Vincent Lisiewski

Joseph Vincent Lisiewski, 89, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on December 6, 2021. Beloved husband of Florence T. (Stemborowski) for 70 years. Father of the late Cheryl Ann Lisiewski and grandfather of the late Rachel Leigh Gibson. Survived by Son, Joseph V. Lisiewski II and wife Cheryl (Williams), grandsons Joseph (Trey) V. Lisiewski III, Ryan Sheldon Lisiewski, granddaughter Emma Rose Lisiewski of Phoenix, Arizona. Granddaughter Ashley Owen and husband Ryan of Mullica Hill, NJ. Great granddaughters Penelope Leigh Owen, Elliette Ann Owen, and Tessa Florence Owen. Brother Jack John Lisiewski and wife Anna of Scottsdale, Arizona. Sister in law Margaret Jones and husband Gilbert of Nevada, and Agnes Strang of New Jersey, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Lisiewski was a past resident of South Philadelphia, Camden, and Haddon Township, NJ. Graduate of Camden Catholic High School Class of 1950. Architectural and Engineering graduate of Pennsylvania Institute of Technology.

Mr. Lisiewski was a combat Sergeant in the Korean War, serving with the 7th Infantry Division from 1951-1953 where he was the recipient of the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal with three campaign bronze battle stars, Distinguished Combat Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit citation and the Combat Infantry badge. Past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2445 and a past member of the American Legion Post #66, both of Maple Shade, NJ.

Mr. Lisiewski had been a member of Tavistock Country Club since 1971, elected to the Board of Governors and performed as the country club's membership chairman.

He was selected by the Camden County Board of Freeholders to be the County's first consulting architect.

Mr. Lisiewski served as commissioner on the Board of Commissioners for the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority. In 1990 he was selected to serve on the Board of Trustees of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Mr. Lisiewski was a member of the National Certification of Architectural Registration Board, The American Institute of Architects, New Jersey Society of Architects, past president of the West Jersey Society of Architects in 1973, and past president of the Cosmopolitan Club of Delaware Valley in 1976.
