Joseph H. Little Jr.

Joseph H. Little, Jr, 70, went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2023. Born in Richmond, VA on June 8, 1953, Joe started his career as an electrician for Henrico County. After earning his master electrician license, Joe started his own company while also serving as a volunteer firefighter for Chesterfield County. In the following years, he worked throughout the Florida Keys in the winter months, and the NC piedmont area in the summers as a heating and air technician. Joe was predominately self-taught and could fix anything. From building and restoring houses, to repairing and painting vehicles, to racing and sailing boats, Joe was a true jack of all trades and master of all.
Joe loved the water. In the early 90s, he traded drag boat racing for sailing and learned to navigate the Chesapeake Bay. For over a decade, he and his wife cruised around the FL Keys and Bahamas with friends and family. By the mid-2000s, Joe traded sailing for kayak fishing and volunteered with Heroes on the Water as a fishing guide and mentor for soldiers and their families after returning from combat operations.
Joe was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Judy Little; daughter, Michelle Marth (Ron); sister, Julia Perry (Stew); and grandchildren (Garrett, Gavin, Evan, and Tara). In lieu of flowers, Joe would recommend putting your hard-earned income in a high interest savings account or charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 7:00-8:00 p.m., at Morrissett Funeral Home located at 6500 Iron Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA. His final resting place will be at the Bermuda Memorial Cemetery, in Chester, VA, next to his dad.
