Joseph Eugene Lovelace
Joseph Eugene Lovelace, 75, of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2021 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Glenn Barnett and Janie Eva Mae McNeely Lovelace and was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Smith Lovelace. Joseph was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dewey, Bufford, and Clifford Lovelace. Joseph served honorably in the US Army and retired after many years of service from Turbo Conveyors. He enjoyed collecting knives and coins and was an avid history buff. In his early years, Joseph enjoyed traveling and spending time in the mountains with his beloved wife, Judith. He was a loving husband and devoted caregiver for many years.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 29 years: Judith Bolton Lovelace, of the home
Step-children: Bobby Davis and wife Karen, Mint Hill, NC, and Beth Chambers and husband Dale, Shelby, NC
Step-grandchildren: Zach Chambers, Graham Davis, Grayson Chambers, and Hannah Chambers
Sister: Sarah Juanita Runyans, Gastonia, NC
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Reverend Mike Chambers officiating
VISITATION: The family will receive friends at the home
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory can be made to Hospice of Cleveland County at 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150
