Rose, Pat, and family,
I am deeply saddened to hear this news. Mr. Maciejewski was such an instrumental part of my youth and one of the most influential people in my life. During one of my lowest moments, when I had lost faith in myself, he still believed in me. When it felt like everyone else had given up, he saw potential and possibility. His mentorship shaped the person I became. I truly don´t think I would be where I am today without his guidance, encouragement, and kindness.

We stayed in touch throughout the years, and I hope he knew just how profoundly he impacted my life and the lives of so many others. He gave me a gift that will last forever: the gift of music, and the confidence to believe in myself again. His legacy will live on in every note, every song, and every student he inspired. Prayers for all of you.

Dearest Pat, Rose, and Family ... I am so profoundly saddened to see this news. If we are fortunate in this life, we grow old. But sadness eventually happens when we lose friends we thought the world of. I considered Joe one of those friends for every day since I met him in August, 1970. He was the first teacher to extend a hand and welcome this young punk kid to Bloomfield High School. He asked for my help with 'South Pacific" that year. He asked me to take care of tickets and MC duties for many years during so many other Broadway caliber productions. As a teacher on my staff years later, he was one of my staff anchors, and never, ever disappointed me. He was a stellar man, a better human being, and those who knew him are better because of it. I offer you my infinite respect, sorrow, and condolensces on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather ... and on the loss of my friend of a half century.
