Mr. Joseph Carroll Magee Sr.

Joseph Carroll Magee Sr., 74, of Prospect Park, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, passed away on November 29, 2010 at Taylor Hospice Residence. He was born June 22, 1936 in Philadelphia the son of the late Leo and Helen (nee O'Donnell) Magee. Joseph was a fireman for the Philadelphia Fire Co. and a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Carol (nee Vile) Magee, his daughter Theresa Magee, his sister Alice Fryer and his brother Leo Magee. He is survived by his children Joseph C. Magee Jr., Carolyn Weiner and Lisa Weiner; his grandchildren Josh, Gina, Jessica and Anthony; also survived by his siblings Helen Phillips and Mary Wallace. All are welcome to his visitation Thursday evening from 6-9pm and relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Friday from 8:30am until his Funeral Service at 10am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. Interment with military honors will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
