JOSEPH R. MALASPINA
"Loving Father, Grandfather and Brother"
Joseph Malaspina age 89 of Waterbury passed away peacefully May 12, 2024 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving widower of Yolanda (Perugini) Malaspina.
Joseph was born April 26, 1935 in Waterbury, a son of the late Joseph and Angelina (DelGrosso) Malaspina. He was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. Prior to his retirement in 1996, Joe worked as a draftsman at the former Anaconda Metal Hose in Waterbury. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Yankees, and listening to Vintage Records.
He leaves his son Joseph Malaspina and his wife Marjorie of Middlebury CT, daughter Susan Royle and her husband Robert of Prospect CT, a brother Dominic Malaspina of Waterbury CT, four grandchildren Alexandra Malaspina of Glastonbury CT, Sydney Malaspina of Boston MA, Erica Royle of Stratford CT and Dylan Royle of Prospect CT. As well as several nephews and a niece. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Malaspina of Northfield CT
Arrangements: Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway is assisting his family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
