I loved my brother Joey from the day he was born. He cried a lot as a baby and we would take turns holding him until he fell asleep. Even then, he had crazy long legs! I can't think of a single time that he wasn't loving to me, always giving me a big his every time I saw him. The last time I saw him was a few months before he died. We spent the day together talking, laughing, visiting mom and dad's graves, crying, driving down Mesle, telling old stories, eating lunch at Tubby's. We went to the small motel room that was his home. He told me he was happy, that he had everything he needed and I believed him. He was a fan of my music and knew every note, every word of my songs. He was an absolutely great brother and I will love him as long as I can love at all.
