Joseph D. Mayewski, 56, of the Alden Station section of Nanticoke, passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 14, 2025, at his home.
He married the former Kelly Dombrowski on Feb. 14, 2008.
Born March 18, 1969, in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Norman and Julia Tolodzieski Mayewski. Joe graduated from Northwest High School, Class of 1987, and went on to work positions in labor and maintenance until his health would no longer allow him to do so.
Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing darts.
He was a member of the Plains traveling dart league.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Mayewski and Norman Mayewski.
In addition to his wife, Kelly, Joe is survived by his son, Joseph E. Mayewski; and his daughter, Bethany Lopez and her husband, Henry; granddaughters, Julianna and Giavanna Seise; a grandson, Hendrix Lopez; a sister, Cynthia Zavatsky; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad St., Nanticoke.
