Joseph J. "Joe" McCartney Sr.

McCartney, Sr. Joseph J. "Joe" Age 90, of Bensalem formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on January 14, 2026. Joe was the beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Connolly), and loving father of Colleen Pratico (Anthony), Terri Young (Frank), Michael McCartney (Andrea) and the late Joseph Jr. Joe will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Jaimie, Melissa, Tony, Kerrilynn, Nick, Alexandra, and Christina. Great-grandchildren Emma, Domenick, Anthony, Lucy, James, Mason, Jaxson, Nicky, Vinny, Isabella, Penelope. Sisters Mary and Kathleen, many nieces, nephews, and by all who knew him. He was predeceased by sisters Eleanor, Nancy, Pat, Rosemary, and brother Jack. Joe was a retired Power Director for PECO, where he worked for 33 years. Joe was also a proud US Army veteran and Past Post Commander of the American Legion Post #810. Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration, Friday, January 23rd from 9:30 to 11 A.M. at St Albert the Great Church, Huntingdon Valley, PA, followed by his Funeral Mass. Joe will be interned in a private ceremony at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.
